Renfro's Lakeside Retreat is an excellent place to have a wedding. The inspiring scenery makes a wonderful backdrop to such an event.

One party booked Chef Victor Schmidt and Tanguy Libbrecht with the Shearton Hotel to come from Anchorage and prepare and serve a gourmet meal at one of the cabins. It was complete with china, and white linens! Chef Schmidt prepared most of the meal (crab, shrimp, steak, etc.) over an open wood fire outside - Ummmm!!!!
